Each month My Plumber Heating and Air celebrates a new Warm Hands and Full Hearts project, sometimes two. This month we are having a Denim Day on April 24, 2009.

At My Plumber, our dress code does not allow for blue jeans, so a Denim Day is a special treat for employees. Office staff pays $5 for the privilege of wearing their blue jeans to work. In turn, the company donates those funds to a worthy cause. This month the cause is little Hunter Presgrave, a five-year old boy from Kitty Hawk, NC who has been stricken with Wilm's tumor, a cancerous growth on one of his kidneys.

Doctors removed the tumor and the kidney and his prognisis is very good. He has five months of chemotherapy ahead of him and a long, rough row to hoe. So do his parents. His medical treatments are expensive and insurance is not covering everything. We will let you know how things turn out.
